[Before and After] Mamod Minor Engine Restoration

After a few a days of polishing and respraying, the renovation of my Mamod MM1 (I think?) is finished and from looking at the before and after pictures, it is quite a difference! When I first got the engine, it was clear it had been used a lot and therefore had just general wear and tear to it.

The part of the engine I was worried about the most was the chrome work which from the birds eye perspective looked very rusty and like the chrome had gone. Below are pictures of the engine finished.

Another tricky part about restoring this engine is with painting the crankshaft holder (green bit). It is attached to the boiler which meant I had to masking tape all of the boiler so it doesn't get sprayed. However, the work paid off because the engine looks brilliant now and runs a dream.
